Working with the File Manager feels like working with your personal computer. The in-built drag-and-drop functionality will allow you to easily transfer files between your PC and the web server. Just select the file that you want to upload from your personal computer and then drag it over to your browser. The same applies to downloading a file from the File Manager to your desktop computer. What's more, you can download files and even folders to your disk drive by clicking the Download button.
Easy File Editing Options
With the File Manager graphical user interface, you can create a brand new file or folder with only one single click. All action buttons are conveniently placed above the file/folder list and you can modify your files without difficulty. You can rename or copy a file, move a file to another folder, examine the contents of a file or modify its permissions, erase a file, etc.
Handy Archive/Unarchive Functionality
With the File Manager GUI, you will be able to pack and uncompress all types of files. It does work surprisingly fast - simply select the files you want to archive and click the Compress button. You can even select the type of the new archive (.rar, .zip, and so on). It is just as easy to extract files from an archive to a specified directory.
File Editors
With the File Manager user interface, you really do not need any external software in order to update your files. There is an image viewer, which permits you to explore the contents of your image files to get a clue about how the images will in fact show up on your website. Moreover, you will find an array of built-in file editors, which will grant you full command over your files. The plain text editor and the code editor are intended for more experienced users, whereas the WYSIWYG editor (where you can see all code changes in real time) is also suitable for non-tech-savvy individuals.
